Lighting Up The World

For the Bible

Lighting Up The World A world map where countries with subscribers glow with a city-lights texture over their real coastline, brighter with more subscribers.

The Goal Is Simple. The Impact Is Historic.

When you understand God’s message, you will love him even more.

An anonymous author has written a theological book series called Rethinking Scriptures. His real identity is unknown. It will remain unknown until one thing happens: 25 million people return to the Bible.

Not 25 million subscribers. Not 25 million downloads. Twenty-five million real people — in study groups, in living rooms, in churches, in dorms, at kitchen tables around the world — who opened Scripture because of what we are building here together.

The counter above is live. Every registered study group moves it. When it reaches 25 million, he introduces himself.

Until then — the mission is the story. Sign up now to make the light shine, and help us bring 25,000,000 people back to The Bible.

The Rethinking Scriptures Podcast

One passage. A question you will still be thinking about on Friday. Podcast launching soon.

Every Tuesday at 6PM Central, JR Pittman teaches the way Jesus taught — with questions, not answers. With stories, not lectures. With an open Bible and the patience to sit with what is difficult until it becomes clear.

Who is JR Pittman?

Not a theologian. Not a pastor. Just a man who refused to stop reading.

JR Pittman is a businessman. He has spent decades in boardrooms, not seminaries. He has closed deals, managed people, and built things — and through all of it, he has kept one book on his desk that none of his colleagues understood: the Bible.

One day he stopped reading the way he had been taught to read it. He started reading it the way he reads a contract — word by word, asking who benefits, who pays the cost, and what the text actually says versus what he had been told it said.

What he found disturbed him. And he could not keep it to himself.

These thirteen books are the result of that search. JR writes as he receives the answers. The series is not finished — because neither is the journey.

"I am not asking you to abandon your faith. I am asking you to bring it into the room and let it withstand a harder question."
